congratulations on the implementation and your photos are just great
I've also opted to use HA and I'm very happy with it.
I'd also started by simple schitches and then more stuff , with more funtions.
MQTT is great and i'm using then as integration for the ESP's things :)

nice to known more people using HA , and having fun on the run :)

Hi Limawal,

I don't think the vidonn is appropriate for those tasks... it will surely give you a number, but algorithm wise (and that's something done internally in the wristband) step counting is far different than those activities.

I'm thinking to buy vidonn x5 to be used as cycling cadence & swimming stroke counter.

If you have a bike could you pls put vidonn x5 to the test by using it on your ankle when pedalling to get cadence info?

Or is it poasible for your application to detect how many strokes has been done during a swimming session?

Unfortunately I haven't been able do decode such information. Its probably there, but I don't have any clue on how to decode it.

We're working at an app, in witch we would like to track live (raw) motion data (over the x,y and z axis).
Are you able to gather the raw accelerator meter data from the Vidonn X5?

Sorry, I don't have an X6 so it's impossible for me to support it. That said, since the code is available at github, it should be easy to add support for it ;)

Instalei o aplicativo TrackBand, que, além de mostrar os dados da pulseira, me notifica de ligações e de SMS. Só que o app tem que ficar aberto no celular para que o android não derrube o processo e corte a conexão com a pulseira. Talvez seja uma fonte de informação para uma possível nova funcionalidade para o OpenVidonn.

Hi, this app is nice, better and faster than the Vidonn one, but it would be great if it could track sleeping too !

yes... in teh vidonn i see blue led.. but both apps don't find it
